Sliding Hook Flyers
Four flyers available:
Single Drive and Jumbo Single Drive with 4 speeds,
Double Drive & Jumbo Double Drive with 3 speeds.
Fill your bobbins evenly with the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hook - the
ability to make more minute adjustments means a more evenly filled bobbin.
The yarn is controlled in the hook as you spin (no yarn flying loose out of the
guide hook).
Graphite
fiberglass arms make this flyer light and strong.
Update your Ashford Traditional, Traveller and Elizabeth spinning wheels.
The flyer is available unfinished or clear lacquered and includes one bobbin.

Joy Sliding Hook Flyer Kit A sliding hook flyer including one bobbin is now available as a retro kit for all existing Joy
spinning wheels. Fill the bobbins evenly with the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hooks.
Graphite fiberglass arms make these flyers light and strong. New sliding hook flyer bobbins hold up to 30% more yarn.
Due to the larger bobbins, the treadle may not fold completely with these bobbins stored in previous models
of the Joy wheel.
Joy Freedom Flyer (Jumbo) Kit
This fantastic new flyer gives you the freedom to spin your wild carder batts into fabulous, fun and funky art yarns on
your Joy spinning wheel. With the enormous 1 inch orifice and hooks you can spin and ply
fibers, feathers, fabric, ribbons, cocoons and more. The open hooks make threading super fast and easy.
The kit includes one jumbo bobbin and will fit all existing Joy spinning wheels.
Additional bobbins available separately.
Basic Jumbo Flyer Unit for Traditional or Traveller, Single
Drive Comes with jumbo flyer, one jumbo bobbin and front
upright. Ratios of 4.5:1 and 9:1. Now includes a bearing bushing so
