Ashford "Elizabeth 2" Spinning Wheel

 Comes with: 3 speed whorl.  Double drive and scotch tension, basic spinning instruction booklet, threading hook, 4 bobbins, and horizontal lazy kate.

This continues the classic style of the former Elizabeth with some wonderful improvements:
You’ll find the new Elizabeth beautifully proportioned with a new 24”drive wheel.
This larger drive wheel provides 30% more momentum for easier, relaxing spinning.
Ball bearings allow smooth, effortless treadling.
Maiden bar adjustment allowing perfect alignment with all whorl speeds.
Clamp knob under the maiden bar to eliminate vibration.

The Ashford Elizabeth 2 comes as a kit wheel--that is, unassembled, with illustrated assembly instructions.  If you would like us to assemble your wheel, we can do so, but you will need to arrange to pick it up from us, as the assembled wheels are not very "shippable".

Accessories

High Speed Double Drive Adaptor Kit
 Spin ultra fine yarns.  Contains 4 high speed bobbins and whorl.  Ratios 14, 17.5:1 (22:1 bobbin lead).  Flyer not included.

Jumbo Double Drive Flyer Unit
Spin thick chunky yarns.  Extra large orifice and bobbins. Simply attach this flyer unit to the top of your existing maiden bar.  Kit contains a Jumbo Double Drive Flyer and large whorl, four jumbo bobbins and a maid upright.  Ratios 4.9:1, 5.7:1, & 9.6:1 bobbin lead.  Now includes a bearing bushing so the new upright can also accommodate your standard flyer.

Elizabeth Distaff
This traditional spinning tool is used for spinning line flax (linen), but can hold any fiber for you.

Quill Spindle 
Spin the traditional way.  Replace the flyer on your wheel and enjoy the ancient art of quill spinning.  Ratios of 14.0:1, 19.0:1, 26.5:1.

Double Treadle Kit
Convert your single treadle model to double treadle.  It's also a complete treadle update for any older model wheel: new crank, conrods, treadle boards and more power.

Spinning Chair
Ideal height of 17" with comfortable back keeps spine straight and allows freedom of movement when spinning.

Maintenance Kit
Essential parts: Oil bottle, threading hook, 13 flyer hooks, eye hook, brake band and springs, drive band, clip, connecting leather and two flexible nylon conrod joints.
