The Circular Sock-Knitting Machine Page
This machine is an early model Gearhart, it was manufactured in Clearfield, Pennsylvania between 1892 and 1904. These machines are used for the production of socks and a number of other knitted items. Once the yarn is set up on the machine you just turn the crank and viola, you have a sock. Okay, so maybe it isn't that easy.
