It is our experience that one needs more ammonium sulfate or Pro Dye
Activator than what is supplied in the kits. See the Dyeing

Wash Fast Acid Dye, 6 dye sampler
For protein fibers (wool, silk, angora, mohair, alpaca, soy silk, nylon or any
other animal or protein fiber). A favorite
for rug hookers spinners, knitters and weavers. Also known as Nylomine
dye. Use Ammonium Sulfate, Citric Acid Crystals, or White Vinegar to fix
the color. Dyes must be dissolved in boiling water. Apply at a boil
for solid shade dyeing and steam set when printing, hand painting, or rainbow
dyeing. Permanent, washable and lightfast. All colors are
intermixable. Kit contains enough
to dye eight pounds of fiber to medium shade. Kit includes: Instructions; 1 oz
synthrapol; 57 gm ammonium sulfate; and 10 gm each of black, blue, green,
yellow, orange, and red wash fast acid dye.
Pro MX Reactive Dye (Procion), 6 dye sampler
For vegetable fibers (cotton, silk, linen, rayon, viscose, bamboo, Tencel, or any other plant fiber). These
dyes are applied at room temperature - no steaming is needed. Great for
experimenting. Kit includes: instructions; 1 oz
synthrapol; Pro Dye activator; and 10 gm each of green, blue, red, yellow, black, and purple Pro MX reactive dye.
Pro MX Reactive Dye (Procion) Painting Kit, 3 dye sampler
For vegetable fibers (cotton, silk, linen, rayon, viscose, bamboo, Tencel, or any other plant fiber). Excellent
for dye painting fabrics or yarns. These dyes are applied at room
temperature - no steaming is needed. Includes: instructions; Pro Dye
Activator, Pro Print Paste Mix SH, Urea and Synthrapol and 20 gm each of #108
Yellow, #308 Red, and #404 Blue.
Tie Dye Beginners Kit The perfect way to explore Tie Dye! Just add water and you're ready to
go. These dyes are applied at room temperature - no steaming is needed.
Kit includes: directions, 2 gms #108 Red, 2 gm #308 Yellow, 2 gm #404 Blue,
Urea, PRO Dye Activator, 1 pair of disposable gloves, 1 empty 2 oz squeeze
bottle, 1 oz Synthrapol, 2 rubber bands, 1 X-Large T-shirt.
