Hat Shapers come in nearly 20 styles, each
in three to five sizes. We stock 7 styles, and can
special order any of the others (see listing, below). They are made out of recycled
automotive plastic and thermoformed over a solid mold,
made for Hat Shaper's custom built machine. The forms are lightweight,
stackable, washable, portable,and best of all,
affordable. They are great for shaping, blocking, drying and
storing your felted hats. Hat Shapers are very strong and can endure the
process involved in creating felted hats. The forms are designed for
animal fiber used with wet"steam and heat"hat felting.

The brim measures 3 1/2" inches in the back and widens as it comes around
to a 4 1/2" brim in the front. Please note: There is a additional
$10.00 charge for shipping this item, as it is oversized. The
price in the cart for this shaper will show as $43.00.
Add-a-Brim
A standard Hat Shaper does not have a "brim", it has a small flat base
to provide strength to the crown. The base is not intended to be a pattern
for your brim. You will, most likely, want to have a wider brim than the
flat base would define. Feel free to make your hat with whatever brim
dimensions that you imagine would look best. You can use your steam iron
to shape it into just about any configuration you desire.
The Add-A-Brim, on the other hand, provides
an integral felting resist for a standard fedora-type brim configuration.
The turned down brim can be flipped to achieve classic fedora brim lines.
