Ashford Handicrafts  The makers of the fine Ashford spinning wheels.  You can find lots of helpful information here, such as assembly manuals for their products, FAQS, and trouble-shooting tips.

Backwoods Home Magazine  Practical ideas for self-reliant living.
They offer informative articles on a wide range of subjects including building, alternative energy, farming, gardening, food and cooking, country living and much more. Electronic version of the magazine available for FREE download.

Carol Ventura has several interesting sites to visit.  Visit her personal page by clicking on her name, or visit her Backstrap Weaving page.  She is also the author of two books on Tapestry Crochet.

CIHS Radio  A radio station in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada that also broadcasts online.  We enjoy listening to them as we're working at the studio. They play an interesting mix of pre-1970's country music as well as folk music, gospel, and even a little Raffi!

Countryside Magazine  A great reader-written homesteader's magazine that we have subscribed to for over 10 years.  Animal husbandry, gardening, food preservation, alternative energy, building your own house, barn  and "much, much more"!

Free Knitting Pattern Free knitting patterns and stitches.

Hidden Wisdom Magazine  is published by a friend of mine, Abigail Paul.  I also recommend visiting her personal website A Source Of Joy.  Abigail also has some beautiful and thought-provoking graphics at her site Snapshots of Joy.

Hooked On Felt is Suzanne Higg's website.  Suzanne is the inventor of the foam rubber needle felting hat forms.  She also has lovely handmade items for sale.

JacobsArts Offers handspun wool and angora yarn, wool and angora roving, wool hats and mittens, and a gallery of art. Small colored flock of Finn-Rambouillet sheep. Natural moorit.

Kimmet Croft Yarns  Another friend, who raises Angora rabbits and sells hand-dyed yarns and Bohus sweater kits (must see!) for knitters.

Kundert Spindles Steve's own website, featuring his lovely spindles.

Learn to Knit  Illustrations teach basic stitches for right and left hand knitting.

Livingston's Locker Hooking  Marilyn Livingston has written a book on locker hooking called "Locker Hooking: An American Perspective.

Michigan Fiber Festival  A great event in Allegen, MI.  Features classes and workshops, demonstrations, and vendors.  We vendor and teach at this event.

Midwest Renewable Energy Association  We are a vendor almost every summer at their Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair, which is held in Amherst, WI. Check out their site for information on this year's event.

Point Basse  A living-history village near Nekoosa, WI.  We demonstrate at their annual Pioneers Days event each June.

Portage County Historical Society  We demonstrate at the Historical Park every summer at the Plover Portage Rendezvous.  Lots of fun!  See the picture of Amy spinning in their photo album of the 1999 Rendezvous.

Sharon's Tatting Page  We like this site because of the tatting video clips and clear instructions.  Fun site.

Sheepy Hollow Shetlands  Our friends, Jerome and Nancy Larsen of Iola, WI raise registered Shetland sheep for wool, meat and breeding stock.

Shepherd's Harvest Festival  Lake Elmo, MN.  We vendor and teach at this event.

Simple Shoemaking  Offers for sale soles to be sewn on felt footwear.

Stephenson County Fiber Art Fair  Held every spring in Cedarville, IL.  We usually vendor and teach at this event.

SOAR The annual Spin Off Autumn Retreat, hosted by Interweave Press.  It's like a family reunion for spinners.  It moves around the country, and we like to attend whenever we get a chance.

Webb-Babies  Webb-Babies is an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing the babies in neonatal intensive care units with blankets and knit, crocheted and sewn items at no cost to the families.

Wisconsin Parents Association  They hold a home education conference every May in Stevens Point, where we demonstrate and vendor.

Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival  An annual event each September, held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Jefferson, WI.  We teach and vendor at this event.

Yellow River Station  A website devoted to Circular Knitting Machines and their slaves.

Z-Ranch  Mary (yep, a friend!) is the one who introduced us to Shetland sheep (for which we heartily thank her!).
