The Ladybug
The Ladybug Spinning Wheel is friendly to entry-level spinners, easy to treadle, easy to take with you, and as cute as a bug!
The Ladybug has the characteristic solid Schacht construction and its unique design is both functional and charming.
Designed-in carrying handles in the legs and light weight make the Ladybug easy to pick up and transport.
An optional attached tensioned Lazy Kate integrates into the front leg and makes it easy to take along, too!
The Ladybug Spinning Wheel uses Scotch tension, and can also be used in double drive mode.
The Ladybug comes with medium and fast flyer whorls; the slow and high speed whorls can also be used for a wide range of ratios.
Included with each Schacht Ladybug Spinning Wheel are a poly drive band, threading hook, three bobbins, medium and fast whorls, and double drive band.
Each Ladybug Spinning Wheel is unique - somewhere on your wheel is your very own Ladybug pal.

The Scoop on Reeves Replacement Parts...
We've had numerous inquiries about bobbins and parts for existing Reeves wheels. Schacht's
first priority will be to get the wheels into production and then look at repair
and replacement parts at a later date.
Important note: The Schacht-Reeves flyer shaft is 5/16
diameter versusthe original Reeves 1/4
diameter. This means that Schacht-Reeves bobbins cant be usedon prior Reeves-made wheels.Replacement

Add plying and bulky yarn capabilities to any Schacht Matchless or Schacht Ladybug Spinning Wheel. Features include a generously-sized
7/8 orifice, large capacity bobbin (about 8 oz), sliding flyer hooks with incremental stops, and large, round guide hooks.
The Bulky Plyer Flyer comes with its own special front maiden, bulky flyer, and bulky bobbin.
And for those who have been hoping for a cherry version, you haven't been
forgotten!
The Schacht Bulky Plyer Flyer Package comes with the bulky flyer and one bulky bobbin, and a front maiden and bearing for either the Matchless or Ladybug Spinning Wheel.
For those spinners with both a Matchless and a Ladybug, order the package for one wheel and the bulky front maiden and bearing for the other wheel.
The bulky flyer and bobbin can then be used on both wheels.
The bulky bobbins fit on the Ladybug Lazy Kate. On the Matchless Lazy Kate, you can use the two outside rods for bulky bobbins.

Reeves Replacement Whorls These whorls are included with the wheel. The medium whorl gives
ratios of 12:1 and 15:1 on the 24" wheel and 15:1 and 19:1 on the 30"
wheel. The fast whorl gives ratios of 16:1 and 20:1 on the 24" wheel
and 21:1 and 25:1 on the 30" wheel.
Matchless Tensioned Lazy Kate The folks at Schacht took physics to heart when they designed this Lazy Kate. It's built low to the ground (no more tipping over during plying), has a unique tensioning feature (no more bobbin back spinning during plying), and accommodates up to three bobbins.
The Schacht Tensioned Kate can be used with other spinning wheel bobbins up to 8 1/8" in length. A Lazy Kate comes with
the Matchless wheels but may also be purchased separately.

This multi-purpose tool will become an
indispensable companion to both weavers and spinners. Sporting 1/2"
and 1" measures, the Dizzy Yarn Gauge can be used as a weaver's sett gauge
or spinner's yarn gauge, as well as a diz for making a consistent sliver for
spinning.
