Socks and Mittens

SpinCraft Patterns by Connie Delaney

These patterns were written with the spinner in mind, but are a boon to any knitter, crocheter or weaver.  Each pattern tells you how to find YOUR gauge with YOUR yarn to make an item that fits YOU (or whomever you are making it for)!

Socks and Mittens

Nordic Mukluks 27-So...$1.75  #159092 only one left in stock
Keep your feet warm after a day of skiing. Wonderful star pattern for two color knitting.  Pattern recommends using leather soles.

Toe up Socks 32-So...$1.75  #159097
Tired of knitting socks from the top down?  Here are instructions for doing them the other way.  The advantage is that you can get the foot done, and then make the cuff as long or as short as you like.

Knitting Socks on Circular NeedlesKnitting Socks On Circular Needles 39-So...$1.75  #159163
This is an ingenious technique. Two circular needles are used to knit a tube. One half of the tube is worked off the points of one circular needle, and the other half rests on the band of the second, which has just enough bend to give the working needles the angle they need. While not really faster than knitting with four double pointed needles, this technique is certainly less intimidating to the beginning sock knitter.

Toe-up Circular Needle SocksTOE-UP Circular Needle Socks 40-So...$1.75  #159152
Knitting on circular needles is perfect for a sock knit from the toe up. The advantage of this is that you can get the foot done, and then make the cuff as long or short as you like. As with any SpinCraft Pattern you can use this basic shape and add color or texture designs that strike your fancy.

Flared Leg Warmers 34so...$1.75 only one left in stock
Skill Level: Experienced. Short rows are done on shaping flaps over feet.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 10 to 14 ounces, depending on size.
Keeps your ankles and feet warm too. Flared bottom fits nicely over shoes to keep drafts off. Easy to knit with no measuring and no swatch!! Comes with lace version.

kFinger Mittens and Folding Finger Mittens 23-As...$1.75  #159090 only one left in stock
Two ideas to let your fingers roam free while still having the warmth of a mitten. Finger Mittens let pointer out. Folding Finger Mittens have a flap to fold over the half-knit fingers.

Gloves & Mittens 31-As...$1.75  #159089
Simple instructions for basic gloves and mittens. They can be made to fit any hand. You can any sort of knitting flare that you wish!
