Description

This Swatch Maker 8.0  Maple mini weaving looms were created to complement the Swatch Maker 3-in-1 weaving loom.  For those preferring to make swatches using prongs versus threading holes, these looms are for you.  The Swatch Maker 8.0, has 8 ends per inch (E.P.I.). The Maple looms are made of native Texas Maple.  Each loom by itself weighs approximately 4 oz and has dimensions of 6″ x 7 1/2″ with a work area of 5″ x 6 1/4″.  The loom comes with color photo instructions, acrylic tapestry needle, a small metal tapestry needle for the smaller and tighter areas of the project, a threading needle for dealing with any loose tails and a reusable cotton bag.  You will need yarn, scissors and a fork or  for aligning weft.

The weaving comb is available separately for beating your weft into place.

Yardage Requirements

8 E.P.I.: 40 yd (30 yd warp; 10 yd weft)

Acrylic material is sourced from a woman owned Houston business and looms are laser cut and assembled in the Purl & Loop Houston studio.  All loom packaging components (needles, cotton bag, instructions, etc.) are sourced from U.S. businesses.

The 3-1 swatch maker comes in either birch or acrylic, and allows you to weave 8,10 and 12 epi, all with one loom.  The loom measures approximately 9.25″ x 6.5″ and has a work space of approximately 6″ x 7″ along with a ruler on the side.  The Swatch Maker 3-in-1 Loom comes with a loom, tapestry needle, metal tapestry needle and a threading needle (for the 10 and 12 e.p.i. holes), cotton carrying bag and photo instructions.  The birch version includes a birch tapestry needle and the acrylic version includes an acrylic tapestry needle.  The acrylic loom has a translucent white matte finish on the front and a glossy finish on the back. Made in the USA.
