Schacht also makes slim and regular double-bobbin boat shuttles which are ideal for doubled weft threads. Two separate bobbin shafts make it possible to remove one bobbin at a time. Made of hard maple with a Danish oil finish. Holds two 4″ bobbins. Length is 15 1/4″.

Description

Double ended weaving shuttles from Schacht .

These lovely maple shuttles come in slim and regular width. The slim is 1 and 5/8th” wide, while the regular is 1 and 7/8th” wide.

Ideal for weaving with a doubled weft of the same, or different yarns. Allowing for an even tension on both threads. Also great for techniques where you want a structure thread, but then to pull up loops of the second thread, such as pile or velvet work.

Two separate bobbin shafts make it possible to remove one bobbin at a time.

Made of hard maple with a Danish oil finish. Holds two 4″ bobbins. Length is 15 1/4″.
