All the character and beauty of the original Joy redesigned with raised orifice height, carry handles incorporated into the frame, more room for the tension springs, new 2-piece universal con rod bearings that snap into place, strong polyurethane con rod joints snap into treadle boards for positive drive, and treadle boards mounted on flexible polyurethane hinges for incredibly quiet, smooth, maintenance-free treadling.

Fill the bobbins evenly with the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hooks.  Graphite fiberglass arms make these flyers light and strong.  New sliding hook flyer bobbins hold up to 30% more yarn – 3 included.

It has scotch tension and four flyer ratios for fine to chunky novelty yarns.

The bobbins fit into the frame and the treadle folds flat.  The stretchy drive cord does not require any adjustment as you change from one ratio to another and always maintains the correct tension. The wheel and flyer are mounted on ball bearings for effortless spinning. Smooth and quiet with treadles mounted on polyurethane hinges to allow a comfortable heel-toe action.  This compact wheel is light weight and portable with folding treadle, built-in lazy kate and carry handle.

Comes with the Carry bag: Black and tan canvas with padding and nylon lining to protect your wheel. One inside and two outside pockets will store your mini carders, fiber and niddy noddy. Sturdy nylon shoulder strap.

The Joy comes to you assembled, lacquered and ready to go. Made from strong furniture grade plywood, with sealed ball bearings.  Assembled, with clear lacquered finish.
