Description
You have a loom, but how do you thread the yarn through those heddles and reed? We’ve got tools for that too! Here is an assorted offering of Heddle Hooks and Reed Hooks.
The double ended brass reed hook is great for working on metal reed looms, or for the slots on your rigid heddle reed. Made of thin brass, short enough to fit in the hand and not get in the way while you work. Just over 4″ long, and 1″ wide at the thickest part. Hole in one end to add a wrist strap, or for hanging it during storage
Heddle Hooks, for threading your rigid heddle loom, string heddles, or metal heddles on your shaft loom. Available in long or short with a wooden handle with metal hook, or small plastic handled hook(like comes with the Cricket), or the fine hook for 15 dent reeds (handle color can vary from picture).
Small/Cricket: 6″ long with rubberized handle
Short: 8″ long with wooden handle
Long: 11″ long with wooden handle
Fine hook: 7.75″ long with plastic colored handle
Reed/heddle hook combo. This is my favorite for working on a shaft loom. The wide reed hook on one end, and narrow heddle hook on the other. Fits easily in the hand at only 6.5″ long. Made of brass, with a hole in one end to hang it nearby. Also called a sley hook.
