Description
The Schacht Sidekick is designed to fold easily, yet be a solid spinner.
Here are some of the Sidekick’s features:
Folds to 21.5″ high x 8.25″ w x 15″ deep.
Integrated storage of bobbins, flyer, and whorls for transport.
Lightweight at 13 pounds.
13.75″ drive wheel allows for ratios from 4.25 to 13.75:1.
Long, comfortable treadles.
Uses the same bobbins, whorls, and flyer as the Schacht Matchless and Ladybug wheels.
The Sidekick can be purchased without the bobbin-flyer assembly.
25″ orifice height for comfortable spinning.
Employs Scotch tension with precise control knob.
The drive wheel spins on ball bearings. The flyer turns on self-aligning bearings.
Drive band tension adjuster allows for all whorls to be used with one drive band.
The Sidekick comes with 3 travel bobbins, fast and medium whorls, threading hook, orange carry bag, and adjustable carrying strap.
Also available without flyer, bobbins and whorls. If you already own a Schacht Matchless or Ladybug, these parts are interchangeable. Some folks who already own a Schacht wheel are choosing to order the “Sidekick Without” and the Bulky Plyer Flyer Package. They use the regular flyer on one wheel, and the bulky on the other for plying. You will have to use the whorl from your old wheel, or order a whorl to use with the Sidekick if you choose to go with this option. The “without” option also includes an orange carry bag!

$9.95 – $12.00What’s better then a spinning oil bottle? A choice between 3 spinning wheel oil bottles! We offer the Schacht Precision, the Ashford, or the Kromski bottles. You can’t go wrong with any of them. The Kromski does have the longest nozzle, but the Schacht bottle is a little sturdier. It really comes down to personal preference though.
