Three styles of tapestry beaters: single-ended, double-ended, and a weighted single-ended. All are made of hard maple and have a smooth Danish oil finish. The wooden teeth are set at five per inch.
The double ended beater is 6″ long, 1.5″ wide and 3/4 of an inch thick.
The single ended beater is 8″ long, and the beater teeth are 1.5″ wide.
The weighted beater has 5 ounces of lead inserted into the end to provide more impact for tighter weaving. It is 8.5″ long with the teeth area 2.5″ wide and 1.25″ thick.
Simply bolt the loom to the stand, and adjust the angle of the loom. To remove the loom, just loosen the knobs, lift the loom out of the slots, and you’re ready to go. Older 10″ looms will need holes drilled to accept the top brace – stand instructions include a template for drilling holes.
