Description
We recommend the Ashford Rigid Heddle to new weavers because it is so easy to use, but still very versatile. You can use the loom to create cushion covers, table mats, fabrics and garments, floor mats, just about anything. We keep the 16″, 24″ and 32″ sizes in stock in our shop here in Wisconsin.
Ashford has created a new warping process for this loom that can be done by one person and takes only a few minutes! Warping and weaving instruction included.
This loom has been updated to come with a built in double heddle rest. This improved loom also has holes drilled on the back, which when paired with the warping peg upgrade kit (sold separately) allows your loom to double as a warping board. A warping board can make long warps quicker then using the direct warp method.
Weave with the loom clamped to a table, braced between you and a table, or with the optional stand. The looms sides have cut out notches so that they grip the edge of the table when you weave braced against a table.
Includes: 7.5 dent reed, double heddle rest, two stick shuttles, warping peg, two threading hooks, clamps, cardboard warp sticks, and full-color, easy to follow, step-by-step Learn to Weave booklet.

16″ loom – 2 14″ shuttles
24″ loom – 2 22″ shuttles
32″ loom – 1 22″ and 1Â 30″ shuttle
48″ loom – 2 48″ shuttles
Everything is included in the kit. Quick and easy to assemble and warp. Comes unfinished.
Made from Silver Beech hardwood the loom is very strong and robust. The option of a second heddle kit for multishaft weaving gives extra versatility to this loom. (Sold separately)

Please note, these looms are made in New Zealand, so they are made for metric measurements. The sizes listed are the closest US size in inches, but the weaving width can be 1/2 inch or so narrower then the size listed. The actual measurement of the loom is wider then the weaving width.
