These reed sections are made of off white plastic, they have the dent size imprinted on then with raised lettering. They are 3/16th of an inch thick, and 4″ tall. Please see below for the width of each size.
Available in 5, 8, 10 or 12 dent. That refers to how many threads per inch you would weave with the corresponding reed section. A 12 dent reed has 6 slots and 6 holes per inch.
There is a slight variation in the width of each size, based on the dents. This measurement is for the widest point at the top and bottom.
5 – 2 and 3/8th inch
8 – 2 and 2/8th inch
10 – 2 and 3/8th inch
12 – 2 and one half inch
15 – 2 and one half inch
